The United States is a typical country with multi-racial and multi-ethnic, since the founding of the US, this land brings together people from all over the world. For a long time, although people of all ethnic groups have made their contributions in the development of American society, the American society does not have the same action as their constitution does- all men are created equal, they all have the rights of freedom, democracy, and equality. To this day, the ingrained problem of racial discrimination still remaining in the United States. In America, nonwhite people are always become the second-class citizens, such as African-American, they are subject to varying degrees of discrimination in different aspects such as politics, economics, and education, this led to a significant difference between black and white, in levels of social class, employment, average wages, etc.,which created a stark economic inequality and poverty among black communities.

In recent years, there have been more and more relevant policies are coming out to solve the problem of racial discrimination. Their purpose is to eliminate the unfair and adverse impact that brought by people's prejudice to another race, a large part of these policies is aimed at taking care of vulnerable groups and spreading the humanitarian spirit to the society. The intention of this design is obviously beneficial, which reflects the value of modern civilization in some way. In many cases, the weak are always needed to be taken care of, and they need social support and help. But at the same time, all people are subconsciously viewing the non-white group as a vulnerable group, and thus perpetuating discrimination. One other side, white people are also being limited by these kinds of racial policy to some extent, they cannot show their advantage in front of people with other races now, or are likely to be called discrimination, such a phenomenon negatively affects the communication among different races. We have emphasized one kind of equality, but another inequality has emerged, this could be some flaws in the design of political tactics against racism.

It is always a shame to see racial discrimination situations still occurring in our society today. This is an issue that was more prevalent in earlier years of our country but still is a problem today. This is extremely sad because people have fought and died over creating equality, yet people are still not being treated equally in today’s world. I was not aware of such extreme issues as these until reading these articles. I have always heard of racial discrimination and how it is still occurring in society but I did not know it was to these extremes. It is completely unacceptable for someone to be fired because of their race. I think this is something that I was not aware of because I am not often discriminated against because of my race. I identify as a white female so I am usually thought of as the privileged race in our society; however, I am a female so I am sometimes discriminated against for this. As for the situations in these articles, everyone identified as a non-dominant race and were discriminated against because of the race they identified with. This presents identity and diversity problems in the workplace. Everyone should be able to identify with their race and culture without being discriminated against. This brings up the issue of a diverse work environment as well. Many companies have a push for diversity in today’s society to eliminate the issues that were discussed in these articles. A push for diversity and inclusion is the best solution for these companies, in my opinion. It is also important to educate others on the importance of diversity in the workplace. Diversity leads to a well-balanced organization that ends up being more successful in the long run. I have seen this from personal experiences with my internship and seeing the push for diversity in the workplace at this company.

Another issue that was mentioned in these articles was the lack of organizational communication within the workplace. Several of these companies denied the claims of discrimination that employees were making. There was definitely a lack of communication amongst management of the organizations because some managers were not aware that such issues were going on in the company and other managers were creating these discrimination issues. All four of these matters can be resolved by management and company executives pushing for diversity within the organization and showing others why this is important. Discrimination should not be tolerated in our society and especially in the workplace. People need to be educated on equality and inclusion and this will help situations such as these be eliminated in the future.
