Promoting Child Development
Children have many needs that need to be attended to and when we do these things it helps the child’s development. Talking, singing, consoling, and just all around caring all promotes the children’s development.
Promoting Learning.
Children need stimulation and stability. Interaction helps the children learn language and communication skills. Clean bright classrooms promote active learners as well.
Promoting Development
My job in promoting development is gaining my students and families trust first. When my students trust me they are more likely to want to learn from me. Every child has separate needs than another and that is also my job to take care of. Fun In the classroom is helpful because when kids are having fun they’re more likely to want to learn,
Influences on Development
Things that influence learning for children are genetic factors, environmental, the child’s family life, parenting styles, and teachers and schools.
Use Developmental Knowledge
When working in a childcare setting you need to use the skills you learn and acquire from experience. Set a good example for the kids! Always be a good role model they are watching. Make their day challenging, it will push them to learn more. Take time out to get to know your families. Its worth it and It helps. Ive had great relationships with my parents.
Using Developmental Knowledge.
Be honest and caring with your families and students. Make sure you keep a healthy clean environment. This promotes an active learning environment.
Families
To build good relationships we have to know about our children and families communities. We must also understand the characteristics that may come with. When I am informed or know about these things I am then able to help with resources that I know of.
Building Family Relations
When building relationships with families it is important to prove to be trustworthy. When we make our families feel important and they know they can trust us as a teacher the relationships will become reciprocal.
Building Family Relationships
While building these relationships it is important to keep an open mind and be optimistic.
Start, Stop, and Change
For assessments we should observe, document, and support children. We as teachers should know and understand how to use the observational tools as well as how to accurately document these assessments.
Assessment
I will need to use the results of my assessments as it relates to each child’s development. With this I will then understand what children need help in certain areas and I can get an accurate idea of each child’s needs.
Assessment
We should understand how to use these observational tools to be able to use them with children in your care. The assessments should be age appropriate as well as developmentally appropriate for each child’s individual needs.
Change
We should make more community activites with or for parents involved.
Teaching and Learning
Communicate with families effectively and often. Declare your intentions with their children. Your families will trust your ideas and suggestions.
Effective Approaches
Rotating toys for change in environment is a strategy that helps keeps the children interested in learning. We should always think back to tools we’ve learned to help us when we are promoting learning.
Teaching and Learning
Evaluate and implement a meaningful and challenging curriculum. Identify and involve myself in the childcare field. Keep yourself up to date with upcoming knowledge and childcare tools. Always promote a positive outcome.
Self Assessment
As I learn more general knowledge I will use it to help my personal situations and use it to continue my learning.
As I become more educated and practice communication I will make sure I always use the skills I gain and I would stop using improper skills
Self Assessment
As I build connections I will trust more and continue to keep and gain trusting relationships with my families.
