Total views: 5 (Your views: 1)Good morning Professor and Class! I chose to share a question from the topic Standard Deviation. If I understand the premise correctly, it is to measure variability. According to business insider, standard deviation is a measure of how far away individual measurements tend to be from the mean value of a data set. I could use this in the real world to calculate the mean of the sales staff total sales at the end of the each month, then eventually get the standard deviation of each month of the year in total sales, the sales people for the year, and so on! All, of course, if I understand the idea of how this is used.
Example question from ALEKS:
55,41,51,50,57,64
Find the standard deviation of this sample of numbers. Round your answer to two decimal places.
