Analysis of the Services

With regard to the Consultant Out-Patient Clinics, the goal of this facility is to move closer to home. This is aimed at adhering to the hospital policy which recommends for closer movement to home by the children specialist of this facility to ensure that the general pediatrics outpatient services are effectively provided. This approach is aimed at reducing the non-attendance during appointments. It also ensures that services are provided to more accessible regions thus helping in the creation of new physical clinic capacity. The goal of offering such kind of services is to help in increasing the number of pediatrics who are brought to the facility for clinic services (Hazel & Kussel, 2019).

With regard to Diagnostic Radiological and Laboratory services, there are pathological tests as well as x-ray examinations. The radiology department is providing high-quality diagnostic service to both in and outpatients. There are also radiology services for the Daycare, and these services are aimed at helping to diagnose the treatment. This, therefore, implies that most of the tests are done within the facility and patients are not referred to other facilities for laboratory procedures. Appointments are also allowed for the patients who are wishing to do so.

On physiotherapy services, the hospital has a staff who is experienced in the treatment of both in and out-patients by ensuring that patients are safe to achieve the optimum potential within the shortest time possible. Physiotherapists in this facility are always available for patients who have been referred to the facility. Patients who are referred to other healthcare facilities are accepted back. The physiotherapy services are done at a free cost. Respiratory services can be accessed by the clients within the facility. This facility is offering accessible as well as individualized support services to patients with respiratory problems. There is the presence of respiratory nurse specialists who always ensures that patients receive specialized services. While providing respiratory services, there is individual assessment, plan, implementation, and evaluation of care being provided. There is also a provision of education through the use of written and verbal advice.

Patients visiting Blessed Healthcare facility are also provided with continence care which is particularly aimed at improving the quality of life of all the clients who are having issues related to the bladder. There are also nurses who specialize in diabetes who are working with another healthcare team to make sure that there is the delivery of patient-centered services. Patients diagnosed with diabetes are educated so that they can have the knowledge needed for the management of diabetes which is important living in a healthy life.

Blessed healthcare facility also provides palliative care which is performed occasionally to ensure that patients are provided with their physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs. Palliative care is heavily relied on especially when caring for the client following the death of their loved ones. The infection control services are aimed at reducing healthcare-acquired infections and it is important in educating staffs, identifying the infection dangers, monitoring of the infection control procedure or practices which have been established, developing and implementation of the infection control guidelines, and for the management of infection outbreaks.

The Powerful Competitors

Competition within healthcare industries or markets is considered to be of benefit to the consumers because it is helping in containing the healthcare costs; improvement of the healthcare quality; and promotion of innovation. The Federal Trade Commission through the institution of the laws which ensures that the firm is not engaging in the anticompetitive behavior which is harming the consumers. As it operates within Miami, Blessed Healthcare Facility is facing competition from other large firms which acts as a motivation towards improving the services it is offering to be the consumers.

The most powerful healthcare facilities that are offering competition to the Blessed Healthcare facility within Miami include South Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital, and Mercy Hospital. At South Miami Hospital, there is an amazing maternity ward with maternity nurses who are nurturing and comforting the patients. With regard to this kind of services being offered by this firm, Blessed Healthcare facility has been receiving a reduced number of patients within its maternity wing thus giving a headache to this facility to look into effective strategies which are necessary towards increasing the number of a pregnant mother coming for maternal healthcare services. The situation is complicated for Blessed Healthcare facility to compete with South Miami Hospital due to the fact that there is a primary stroke center which is lacking in Blessed Healthcare Centre. Another exception within South Miami healthcare facility is the emergency department which is dealing with traumas.

Jackson Memorial Hospital is another powerful competitor and it is a non-profit, tertiary care teaching hospital. It is also a major teaching hospital of University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine within Miami. Another competitive advantage Jackson Memorial Hospital which makes it be powerful in terms of the competition is that it offers Pathology Residency Training Program which is a four-year integrated program within anatomic pathology as well as Clinical Pathology. These kinds of programs are attracting more faculty members who are participating in the educational program within the Department of Pathology. With these kinds of services offered to students in the University of Miami Leonard, many clients are attracted to this facility thus making it have more consumers (Boghossian, Geraci, Erika, & Horbar, 2018) Because it has 4 authors, you should cite it like this: (Boghossian et al., 2018).

Another powerful competitive hospital is Mercy Hospital which has a 488-bed acute acre within the United States. This, therefore, implies that it is having the highest facility as compared to Blessed Healthcare Facility. Other unique services being offered at Mercy Hospital which seems to be lacking at Blessed healthcare facility include urology, cardiology, and radiation oncology care to many patients who are living within Miami-Dade County community (Enrique, Montoya, & Yohandy, 2019).

The companies that Blessed Healthcare facility will compete against Comment by Windows User: … against whom???

Since blessed healthcare facility is a newly established hospital, there are a number of healthcare facilities which it can compete with that falls with its level due to almost similar services being offered within the facilities. The most likely healthcare facilities which appear to give a direct competition to Blessed Healthcare facility are those which are offering almost similar services. An interim Healthcare facility in Miami is offering home-care services which are similar to those being provided by Blessed Healthcare Facility. Interim Healthcare is providing first and most excellent home care, staffing, and the in-home senior care franchise healthcare organization. Interim Healthcare is providing continuous in-home services that range from pediatric to hospice care. There are also personal services being offered in addition to other services which are being offered by Interim Healthcare Facility. Personal services include transportation, meal preparation, bathing, housekeeping, and skilled nursing and staffing (Omachonu, 2018).

Another healthcare facility that Blessed Hospital is competing with is Holtz Children’s Hospital which is offering healthcare services specifically to children. This healthcare facility is having exceptional care which is focused on the pediatric specialty. This means that Blessed is losing some of the patients to this facility most so in the area related to pediatric services. Holtz Children’s Hospital is majorly focusing on addressing issues related to the pediatric thus making it a target for the majority of sick children thus making Blessed Hospital re-evaluate its strategy of dealing or providing healthcare services in its pediatric units (Rosen, Lane, Martinez, Tashiro, Wagenaar, & Sola, 2017). Because it has 4 authors, you should cite it like this: (Rosen et al., 2017).

The pediatric services offered at Holtz Children Hospital include the bone marrow transplant which is not done at Blessed Hospital; Dermatology; Children Heart Center (Absent in Blessed Healthcare Facility); palliative care; transplant; urology; pulmonology; radiology; nephrology; and neonatology among other services. There are also other specialized programs which have been created to assist children as well as families to be safer and remain healthier. These services include comprehensive Spina Bifida program which is used in providing patients with direct access to many teams of pediatric professionals. Patients with issues related to the spinal cord birth defects are receiving comprehensive healthcare services in a child-friendly and compassionate environment.

Another specialized program is the family advisory council (FAC) which helps in enriching as well as improving the experience of the families at Holt Children Hospital. There is the Family Advisory Council Art Gallery which is used in providing the perfect healthcare within a family-centered environment. This program is helping in enhancing the experience of patients and creating an engaging atmosphere for families and patients. There are also programs like injury free Miami and Foster Grandparent Volunteer Program which are aimed at promoting research-based injury prevention programs and fostering grandmothers who are visiting and spending time with children while they are still within the facility.

How the Facility Differentiates its Products

Despite facing competition from the hospitals mentioned above, Blessed healthcare Facility is making attempting to remain relevant with such a competitive environment through differentiating their services. There are a number of services which are being offered by this facility which appears to be unique to those being provided by the competitors (Elton & O'Riordan, 2016). There is a unique Cath lab whereby patients get the opportunity of having their cardiac procedures done. The kind of services offered within the facility starting from the point of entry to time of discharge is culturally based. The culture of every patient visiting Blessed Healthcare Facility is respected as compared to many other healthcare facilities within Miami where complaints related to the mistreatment of the non-whites have been common.

The employees within this facility are from different ethnic groups and cultures and this makes this facility to be unique with regard to the cultural perspectives as compared to other healthcare facilities where non-whites are finding it hard to find jobs. The existence of different cultures and different ethnic group in the team of employees implies that there is a conducive healthcare environment where patients are free and open to share their problems. Therefore, the kind of services being offered at this facility is cultural-based.

This healthcare facility is working hand in hand with other specialists within Miami town to ensure that urgent procedure which is not readily available within the facility are provided immediately once they are ordered by the doctors. Once the procedure is done, patients are then allowed back to the facility to receive further care from the doctors within the facility. This facility is having its nurse within the regions that are not accessible in Miami to ensure that all patients and those who are in need of healthcare service are reached. A blessed healthcare facility is also adopting technology known as telemedicine which is used by healthcare providers in the facility to communicate and guide patients who cannot reach or visit the facility for a review. Through working with other caregivers and volunteers, the program has become successful to the extent that it has helped in reducing the number of patient admissions and healthcare-acquired infections cases.

There are free healthcare services being offered to the diabetic and hypertensive patients especially during Thursdays. There are free services being offered that ranges from education on the management of body weight, exercise, and proper diet. There are also free maternal which was recently introduced and it is aimed at ensuring that the number of patients, for example, the pregnant mother and pediatric patients are increased to help in selling the healthcare facility to many other people.
