This paper aims at investigating the reasons behind the increase in cybercrime with the evolution of technology. It is hypothesized that the evolution of technology leads to an increase in cybercrimes throughout the world. It is necessary to understand that cybercrimes are committed with the help of any computer, hardware device, or a network (Gordon & Ford, 2006). Cybercrimes are becoming a practice that not only creates behavioral issues in a community but also makes legal and conflictual issues. According to a research study by (Anderson et al., 2013), the internet is used by individuals of every age. These individuals utilize the services of Wi-Fi offered at different institutes, cafés, restaurants, shopping malls, offices, and houses. It is necessary to understand how society is affected by cybercrimes while they want to enjoy technological advancements (Mehan, 2014).
