1. Using my history of Sci-Fi essay, video, and Power Point found in the class modules, describe the 3 periods in the History of Science Fiction and how science and technology impact the humanities. For instance, Mary Shelley’s novel Frankenstein was not created in a vacuum but was made in response to the arrival of electricity and autopsies to Europe.

2. Describe the Postmodern period in the history of Science Fiction (it’s catalysts and examples) and detail how the ideas of human genetic engineering are embodied in the film Gattaca (1997)

3. Explain and analyze how Gattaca uses Christian metaphors to frame its topic both visually (rosary in birthing scene) and through language (i.e., God Child, Faith Birth).
