Project Plan

• A New YouTube Channel for Project Management Students
• A New Sustainability Magazine for Construction Project Managers
• A New Online Platform for Managing Virtual Project Management Teams
• A New Artificial Intelligence System for Project Risk Prediction Once you have selected one of the projects from the above list, you are required to produce a project plan that supports its development and implementation.
SEMESTER 1 2021/22
This task will evaluate your ability to plan a project by utilising the knowledge and skills gained from the sessions, and your own independent study. Your report should be guided by relevant theories and concepts and it is important to include academic research to underpin your analysis and provide a critical discussion where applicable in each section of the project plan. The following is a suggested structure to help guide your Project Plan: (Word count excludes text in tables and figures)
1. Business Case Develop an LFA Table to help describe the project. You may want to include a description of the overall project plan. You may also want to list similar previous existing projects where relevant. Use this section to primarily justify your project and discuss the overall merits of the project.
2. Scope Management Develop a WBS to help identify the overall scope of the project. Outline project objectives and deliverables. You may want to discuss time and cost allocations. The WBS is an opportunity to justify each task and to discuss how they relate to the overall project plan.
3. Stakeholder Management Develop a RACI Matrix to identify key stakeholders of your project. Explain the relationships, responsibilities, and actions of the project team in supporting the project implementation.
4. Risk Management Develop a Risk Register to help identify key risk factors in your project. Analyse the impact potential, which is the risk exposure of the identified risk factors. Plan risk mitigation strategies for key identified risks.
Suggested Overall Structure:
• Title Page (module code/name, assessment number/title, student ID, tutor name, and word count)
• Table of Contents (list of all headings and sub-headings)
• List of Tables & Figures (list of all tables and figures)
• 1. Business Case o (500 Words)
• 2. Scope Management o (500 Words)
• 3. Stakeholder Engagement o (500 Words)
• 4. Risk Management o (500 Words)
• List of References: References to journals, books, etc. used in the assignment.
SEMESTER 1 2021/22

You may refer to high quality sources and references primarily stemming from academic journals if relevant.
