There are many examples of claim, support, and warrant in Four Arguments. Consider Mander's First Argument. What examples of claim, support, and warrant do you find? Remember that the warrant is more general than the claim, and involves a fundamental human need, right, or principle. ? (Answer in 1 paragraph)

In Mander's first argument, I mainly got that Mander's claim is that technology, such as television, is taking over our human existence. He shows support to this claim by providing examples such as being detached from nature, children not being able to know things based off experience, but through being told what things are, how Native Americans were connected to nature and the planet itself, and by referencing films such as Solaris. He also mentions how being schizophrenic may have a correlation related to television. For warrant to Mander's argument, he is insinuating that the media now controls us, being that the majority of families not only owning a TV, but being consistently glued to it as well.

One claim that I found interesting within Mander's First Argument was that regarding light. Mander claims that people are afraid of darkness. He supports this by explaining that our normal awareness with light is provided through street lamps, signs, and lights within structures. We are accustomed to easy access to light sources. He provides an example regarding his family's solar eclipse experience disrupted by artificial light. The warrant for this claim is that our human-manifested environment has intervened with our awareness of light and dark within our natural environment.
