The great king of south Africa
Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was born on July 18,1918, in a small village called Mvenzo. His father Nkosi Mphakanyi was chief of Mvenzo, from childhood, Mandela was exposed to a family of pride, but due to racism, Colonial authorities deprived Mandela’s father of his chief status, resulting in his father's death and causing Mandela and the rest of his family to move to Qumbu.
Mandela attended Healdton primary school, while there, he was given the name of Nelson by his teacher due to a white government. from childhood, Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was exposed to the problem that affected his people and as a child who was born from a chief, the pain-affected him the most.
While studying law at Ford Hard University, Mandela met Oliver Tembu the future leader of the African nation (ANC), soon later Mandela organized an anti-apartheid strike on campus that led to him being expelled, after a while, Mandela reapplied to the University of Witwatersrand which was an all-white school, causing Mandela to face a lot of racist comments and etc. due to him being the only African student, causing Mandela to have more reason for hating the apartheid government.
In 1942 to 1961 Nelson participated in many anti-apartheid movements. 1942 he joined the African National Congress, he helped build the ANC Youth League which lead to a method of boycotts, strikes, civil disobedience, and non-cooperation.
In 1948 after the democratic party won, the power of the apartheid grew stronger, which caused Mandela to become more active in abolishing the laws of apartheid. After a lot of strikes in 1955, the freedom chart was formed, stating that all races would be treated equally, but was followed by Nelson Mandela and 156 other people imprisonment due to a strike in Johannesburg. In 1956 the treason trial lasted until 1961 founding all defendants not guilty. In 1960 the battle between the African National Congress and the apartheid government broke out causing Mandela to go underground. In 1961, Nelson co-founded and became the first leader of the Spear of the Nation where he began using violent tactics to fight the apartheid, under Mandela's leadership spear of the nation, launched a war against the institution resulting in the Rivonia trial which led to Nelson Mandela's life imprisonment.
27 years letter in 1990 Mandela was released from prison, President F.W. De Klerk lifted all charges on Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, at the age of 71, Mandela lead the NCU to end the apartheid and formed a multi-racial government that would treat everyone equally. In 1993 Mandela and F.W. De Klerk formed the Nobel peace prize, 1994 Mandela became the first black president in South Africa.
As president he set to deliver the basics water, electricity and freedom to all races, later, Mandela found himself a political icon. 1999 Mandela retired from the presidency after making an important contribution to freedom, democracy, peace, and human rights, after living the office, Nelson continued on his work establishing numerous organizations including the Nelson Mandela Foundation and at the age of 95, Nelson Mandela died (respect to the great one).
