Company models in completing a supermarket

Program Evaluation review technique

This is a project management tool which is widely used for planning, scheduling, organizing and coordinating tasks within a project. Application of this method is usually represented in a chart. When coming up with a supermarket, this chart is used to represent graphic illustrations of the project as a systems diagram which consists of numbered nodes either circles or rectangles which represents the activities or milestones in the project. These nodes are connected by labeled vectors which show the tasks in the project. The direction of the arrows on the lines is indication of the sequence of the tasks. The estimated time for each activity is represented by using t to indicate minimum activity duration. The chart below shows program evaluation technique of how to complete a supermarket.

Critical path

This is the longest sequence in project planning. Projects on a critical path cannot be started if their predecessor projects have not been completed. It is very useful in managing all projects. When completing a supermarket project, it gives the manager the opportunity to calculate the float of activities by offering flexibility. This is done by arranging the paths in a decreasing order of their total duration then finding the float of activities on the second longest path. After that, one should do the same for all the remaining paths. The nodes indicate the tasks and the estimated duration that it will take. The line in the path shows the sequence in which the tasks will be performed. The figure below is an illustration of how critical path will be used to complete a supermarket.

Gantt chart

This is a method used for planning and organizing projects of all sizes. When completing a supermarket project, it is a useful way of showing what work is scheduled to be done on a specific day. Using the Gantt chart, one can be able to view the start date of a project and its end date. It also gives one the chance to see what the project tasks are, who is working on which task, how long each task will take how tasks group together, are linked or are overlapping. Gantt charts can be effectively used by managers and team members. Below is a Gantt chart that illustrates how it can be used to effectively complete a supermarket project.
