Week 2
For your final assignment, you will be writing about a special area of your choosing. Please submit your choice of initiatives by the end of this week. Review the instructions for the Module 7: Manager’s Economic Proposal. You will choose an area of interest in sustainability. Areas may include environmental, community benefits, employee engagement, etc. Review your textbook for possible interests you have in economics and the impact on health care organizations.
Once you have your area of interest, decide on three (3) initiatives, and then please submit in the dropbox:
• Your three (3) proposed initiatives.
• Write a paragraph on how you plan to culminate the elements of the assignment in your proposal presentation after reviewing the instructions.
• You will be offered feedback and final approval on your initiatives prior to beginning your research. Please do not begin working on your presentation until you have been given final approval.

week 7 - Manager’s Economic Proposal
Economic sustainability means living in such a way as to not sacrifice the well-being of future generations. In other words, society and its members meet their needs in the present while preserving biodiversity and natural ecosystems indefinitely. Sustainability has a clear connection to health. Living sustainably leads to a healthy, prolonged life, whereas climate change can lead to detrimental health issues. Your last assignment for the course is a culmination of what you have learned. The “Manager’s Economic Proposal” you prepare gives you the opportunity to incorporate the knowledge you have gained throughout the course. Do some background research to better understand sustainability. Investigate the kinds of initiatives that are trending among health care organizations. Choose three (3) initiatives that you submit in module 2 for instructor approval. Then be mindful as we progress through the course how your initiatives intertwine specifically with the many facets of economics as it relates to health care organizations.
• Prepare an 8–12 slide PowerPoint presentation using a minimum of two (2) slides per initiative.
• Use a maximum of six bullets on each slide with highlights of the information you would present if you were in front of your audience.
• Include speaker notes in the speaker notes section based on what you will verbally present or you may opt for voice overs (recorded presentation on each slide).
• Include a thorough, clear, and concise introduction of the overall initiatives. Be creative to draw the audience into the presentation with compelling questions, or by relating to the audience's interests of your hypothetical health care organization.
Include a minimum of three (3) scholarly references (one for each initiative) from the school Library in addition to the textbook. Please properly cite each slide, list all references on the reference slide, and include a title slide, all in APA format. For PowerPoint assistance, view PowerPoint Tutorials (Atomic Learning).
Elements of Presentation:
Using your approved initiatives, develop a presentation that includes, but is not limited to, the following elements:
• Introduction your hypothetical health care organization/facility establishing your audience.
• Explanation of your approved initiatives brief implementation plan.
• Purpose of your initiatives (what is the significant affiliation to health care organizations).
• How your initiatives influence health care organizations.
• How your initiatives relate specifically to health care management.
• How your initiatives interconnect to economical concepts and principles.
Remember, you must review the required course readings and synthesize your knowledge of the course.
