Student 1

The following are the three supervisory/managerial positions.

1. Clinical director, Bay State Community Services, Quincy.

Responsibilities.

· Manage the outpatient clinic.

· Planning and implementing system and program development.

- Oversee implementation and monitor the delivery of the services, ensure high quality, timely, professional service delivery.

· Provide clinical supervision to supervisees.

· Supervise and monitor clinical internship program including providing and/or assigning appropriate supervision, organizing training curriculum and maintaining contact with graduate school preceptors to ensure high quality of training provided.

· provide back-up on-call service.

· Maintain program performance standards.

· Ensures compliance with Agency's and funders' requirements and protocol.

Qualifications.

· Master's or Doctorate degree in mental health or related field.

· Licensed clinician (LMHC, LICSW, PsyD, PhD).

· Able to maintain MA state professional license; completes required Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for renewal.

· Requires a minimum of 5 years clinical supervisory experience involving behavioral health services.

· A minimum of 3 years administrative supervisory experience involving funding and regulation.

· Experience with treatment for substance use disorder.

· Experience with working with children, adolescents, adults, and elders who represent varying ethnicities, cultures, and religions, educational level, and socioeconomic status also variable.

· Experience with working with multidisciplinary team.

2. RN Supervisor, LDRPN Ascension, Birmingham.

                   Duties and Responsibilities.

· Understands the overall operations and functions of a home health program.

· Maintain knowledge of current Home Health Regulations, Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoPs) as applicable and other accrediting body standards.

· Maintain agency’s continuous compliance to the State Home Health  Regulations and ACHC Standards in the operation of a home health agency.

· Assists Director in creating an environment in which home health staff can work together, in which each has an opportunity for self-expression, for creating a sense of accomplishment and for personal growth.

· In collaboration with Director interviews and employs qualified personnel. Assures completion of staff evaluations.

· Assist with field orientation of newly hired home health staff members, as necessary.

· Works cooperatively with all professional health members, conducts team conference and provides for continuity of care and coordination among disciplines and other departments.

· Works cooperatively with other home health agencies and/or infusion agencies in coordination of care for skilled nursing visits as needed.

· Participates in quality management programs and performance improvement based on the Agency needs.

· Assesses daily staffing needs in coordination with team, works with team to adjust existing personnel and/or notifies personnel to report to ensure proper staffing within a timely manner.

Qualifications.

· Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN and/or Public Health Nurse Certificate preferred.

· Current and unrestricted Registered nurse licensed in the state of practice.

· Current BLS/CPR card

· Minimum of three years’ experience as a registered nurse in a home health agency or its equivalent in the past five years.

· Two years supervisory experience

3. Nursing Supervisor, Kaba Fusion Shrewsbury.

Responsibilities

· Supervise and arrange unit staffing.

· Provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned area.

· Assign, direct, educate and monitor staffs during assigned shift.

· Assess daily patient care needs.

· Respond to complaints about patient care.

Qualifications.

· BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

· Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse.

· Must have a diploma from an accredited college of nursing.

· 1 year of experience required.

· Minimum of 3yrs of hospital-based  L&D setting,

· Prior experience in full time or relief leadership role,

· Passion for positive experience in patient environment

Differences between the three positions named above.

The positions mentioned above differ. Each differs from the other in terms of the duties and responsibilities stated and the qualifications needed. However, all fall under the nursing supervisor job title, but the names of the position each candidate will hold differ. The first difference is that the position of a clinical director states different or more responsibilities than the other two positions named; RN supervisor and nursing supervisor. Besides, some of the duties listed on the clinical director position are in the other two but explained in different words that mean the same.  Secondly, the three positions differ in qualifications. The qualifications listed or needed for each of them are different from the others. The qualifications may vary because they are from various organizations. Consequently, all fall under the nursing supervisor job title. Therefore, supervising is the main objective.
