Our unique business idea is a Pizza restaurant where you can see all the toppings and sauces the restaurant has to offer through a modern and elegant glass counter. This will give the customer a preview of what ingredients they will be adding to their pizza while placing their order. This will encourage customers to add more toppings once they see the quality and abundance of the ingredients that we have to offer.
This business idea is unique because most pizza restaurants have a preset menu that you must choose from. At other pizza restaurants, toppings are limited, and customers do not usually get to see any of the toppings before their pizza is served. Our restaurant will allow unlimited toppings which will encourage our customer to choose what cheeses, sauces, meat toppings, vegetable toppings, etc. they prefer on their pizza. We will offer an abundance of salads and sandwiches for those who prefer to eat something other than pizza.
The resources that our group has in order to start our new business venture is our combined savings and each of us have opted to take out a small business loan to help our business in the upcoming 5 years. We calculated what our start up costs are and how much it will cost to run the business per year.
We will help our community by occasionally doing fundraisers. We will participate in several causes such as school funding, helping the homeless, donating money to children’s hospitals, and more. We will do so by providing a percentage of sales on chosen dates to the specific cause we are supporting. We will encourage the community to come out and purchase our pizzas for a good cause.
Our business will be set apart from others through supporting good causes and having theme days to encourage the community to come out. One example would be a feed the homeless day where every pizza purchased will be matched by one pizza for a local homeless individual. Another example would be to give children discount cards to be sold for school fundraising. A $10 card purchased by an individual can be shown when purchasing pizza to receive 10% off your order for a year. This amongst other ideas will be used to separate our business from the others.
Our core competencies are community relations, client service, creative thinking, team leadership, flexibility, strategic planning and development. These key skills that our business possesses may change in the future as our business grown and we acquire new jobs and skills along the way.
