Introduction
I will focus on the malnutrition as my personal change I would like to make in the field of environmental health in regards to protecting the future generation. Malnutrition is a condition results from one consuming an imbalanced nutrient in diet either eating too much of nutrient or undernourishment of nutrients causing a health problem.
Malnutrition
Malnutrition is a global issue, far too often affecting children in most cases and requires long-term planning and development of policies to address this issue effectively. Poverty and hunger are the main cause of the malnutrition, and over 161 million children are suffering due to lack of enough intake of a vital nutrient in diet globally (Moeeni, 2014). Protein and macronutrient insufficient are the main nutrients contributing to health problems in the children leading to disease such as kwashiorkor, scurvy among others. On the other hand, overeating of nutrients such carbohydrate leads to obesity on children. Therefore, focusing on the issue of malnutrition, my contribution is to develop education programs through seminars on nursing mother should feed their children balance diet using available nutrients. With proper education on how to plan diet and eating healthy can significantly play a vital role in reducing malnutrition among children? Addition, arrangement, and development of donor’s programs can assist in helping needy children with a surplus of relief food, open children’s home and taking care for orphans can ultimately play a crucial role in ensuring the future generation is safe as my great concern. Finally, calling the contribution of all the restaurant in the united states in the effort of not wasting food and instead of packing them and distributes them to needy families can reduce hanger.
In John 6:1-4 Jesus feed 5000 peoples with fish and bread, reflecting the importance of caring the needy people. More so, “Proverbs 28:27 those who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses”.
Conclusion
Therefore, God loves the hands that give but not the one that keeps for tomorrow and contribution of all stakeholders can lead to a reduction of the malnutrition on the society. Fighting malnutrition is my ultimate objective in the United States and globally for a better life tomorrow for a generation.
