The disturbing side of the National Rifle Association

NRA is classified as a domestic terrorist organization By:

What do you think of when you think of the National Rifle Association(NRA )? Is it justice? charitable? No, they are not.

In September 2019, San Francisco City Council passed a resolution to list the National Rifle Association as a "domestic terrorist organization in the United States" and called on all states and the federal government to adopt the same position.

The origins of the National Rifle Association (NRA) During the Civil War, William Connaught Church and George Wood Wingate founded the association in New York because they were dissatisfied with the design skills of soldiers. Its first chairman was the famous General Ambrose Burnside in the North during the Civil War. At the beginning of its establishment, the goal of the organization was: "Scientifically and effectively improve shooting skills."

The problem with the NRA is that they support the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States Bill of Rights, but they over-interpreted this bill, that citizens have the right to hold guns, but the frequent occurrence of shootings is not a reason to prohibit the possession of guns. Its long-term position "cannot stop criminals by prohibiting firearms, you stop criminals by stopping criminals."

The NRA's efforts are not limited to preventing the passage of the firearms prohibition bill, they will also interfere with the Supreme Court and federal election activities. Some citizens are dissatisfied with the NRA's interference with the election.

In 1998 to 2006, the funds used to oppose gun control totaled approximately US$6 million, of which NRA funds accounted for approximately 90%. Obviously, RNA has chosen the person they like. These include former U.S. House Speaker Tom Foley and former House Commerce Committee Chairman John Dingle.

However, while their organization influences elections and policies, they are also preaching to members about guns, but in the eyes of those who are interested, their behavior is very suspect.

Many conspiracy theorists believe that the NRA used illegal actions before fully obtaining voting rights, namely assassinating senators who supported the ban on firearms. Moreover, an investigation by the New York Department of Financial Services found that in 2018, the NRA publicized a "murder insurance" granted by their own company, which is an insurance policy for death by shooting. Although the NRA has no legal sales rights to the insurance, they still actively promote it in the state. By the end of the year, they had received US$12 million dollar in insurance premiums, but after the subsequent mass shooting in Parkland, these things quietly ended. The investigation was inconclusive, and no one knew the relationship between the NRA and these things.

In the following years of mass shootings, the NRA did not stop its interference with the gun ban. But began to make every effort to popularize the precautions for using guns within the organization. which is:

● always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction

● always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot

● always keep the gun unloaded until ready to use Tutorial on Twitter

The time when the NRA forced government agencies to cancel the law prohibiting guns can be traced back long ago. In 1938, the US government tried to enact laws to curb gun crime. However, under pressure from the NRA, the enactment of these laws had to be cancelled.

Moreover, the NRA is opposing federal legislation while weakening the relevant laws of the states. The inconsistency in the strictness of gun control by states has caused the crime rate to continue to rise.

The most famous law judgment in recent years is the 1982 California Article 15 Regulations. The law called on California citizens to vote whether to ban pistols. Once the news was sent, the government received 600,000 votes to ban the right to use pistols. Then the NRA started a crazy move, because once this bill is implemented, the states will try to follow suit, and the previous efforts of its organization will become useless. Then the NRA began to use a large number of contacts and money to lobby the two parties against the public vote. Of course, the result can be imagined. The NRA, which has a lot of money and contacts, won the victory, and ended up with the defeat of the side that supports gun control.

Although the previous content indicated that the NRA's actions were dubiously motivated and even unjust. But after all, this organization is the largest firearms management organization in the United States, and its existence may have another reason for the government. However, the organization operates very well in other areas, and its educational qualifications are particularly famous, because it was established during the Civil War and its understanding of firearms is much greater than other educational organizations. The second is charity activities. With abundant financial resources, the organization can help disadvantaged groups such as the disabled and women to effectively defend themselves. But we know that everything that exists in this world has two sides, and there are advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, the meaning of the NRA's existence in the United States requires a different understanding of everyone.
