A validity analysis using a correlation matrix was conducted to determine the convergent and divergent validity of a set of 6 items measuring motivation and leadership. Results of the validity analysis for motivation indicated that the three items intended to measure motivation showed strong convergent validity. Results for the construct leadership indicated that 3 items measuring leadership showed strong convergent validity. Correlations between the constructs of motivation and leadership were weaker than correlations within constructs indicating that items showed diversion validity. However, 2 correlations between constructs (i.e., between orgvalue and parted and orgvalue and infco) were higher that expected indicating that the diversion validity of the items is not uniform.
