The research question that has been chosen is “What are the factors that influence successful treatment of children that have been sexually abused.” The research topic will attempt to understand on the treatment process of children that have been sexually abused and the factors that need to be considered when treating these patients. The background information on this study is that there have been issues on the success rate of treating children that have been sexually abused. Based on this observation, it is important to create a coherent framework that ensures successful treatment of children that have been sexually abused. The hypothesis for this study is that consideration of the patient`s environment determines the success of the treatment process and is a major factor that needs to be considered when treating children that have been sexually abused (Giorgi, 2015).
Based on the research topic, the research question seems to focus on the degree of relationship between the environment of the patient and the success rate of the treatment process. Since the research examines the factors that influence the treatment process, focusing on the environment is an important aspect that helps in structuring the research work, which helps in attaining the goals and objectives of the research. In the research, other variables might be considered such as age, family background, and income status of the family, which will help in gaining a deeper insight on the research. Consideration of these variables will be important in helping building a framework of a treatment process with a high success rate (Giorgi, 2015). The above described framework for conducting research will be effective in ensuring that the goals and objectives of the research have been obtained.
