American fast food restaurant chains and the largest whose specialty is chicken sandwiches. Its
headquarters are in College Park, Georgia. Chick-fil-A was originally founded as the Dwarf Grill
in 1946, changing the name to 'Dwarf House' until rebranding as Chick-fil-A in 1967. The
company operates more than 2,300 restaurants, primarily in the United States with locations in
47 states and plans for a location in Hawaii to be the 48th state. The restaurant serves breakfast
before transitioning to its lunch and dinner menu. Chick-fil-A also offers customers catered
selections from its menu for special events.

Climate
Climate (See example below)
One of the key components of the Chick-fil-A's people-oriented corporate climate is that they
recruit for culture. That means they hire people who identify with Chick-fil-A's culture. Chick-fil-A’s
proven talent selection process focuses on three C’s: character, competency, and chemistry. These
qualities are harder to gauge than traditional factors, but she claims it is possible if you commit to deeper
observation. For example, an individual with character will treat everyone they come across with respect
and kindness, no matter their position.
Another component of Chick-fil-A’s corporate climate is that they invest in the people already on
their team. Offering opportunities is important, but stewarding employees starts with one transformative
practice: Tell the truth. In the midst of a world that’s grown tired of corporate doublespeak, conveying the
truth in a respectful way when it comes to performance, expectations, and more is revolutionary. It’s also
the kindest thing you can do for an employee and creates a culture of trust that prizes individuals and
relationships.
Chick-fil-A’s culture isn’t just felt and lived by Chick-fil-A employees. Chick-fil-A guests also
experience the company’s compelling culture. It’s understood that every single person who walks through
the doors of a Chick-fil-A restaurant anywhere in the country can expect to be treated with honor, dignity,
and respect. Chick-fil-A employees have helped Chick-fil-A become just as known for its “Second-Mile
Service” and delivering the signature response of “It’s my pleasure” as it is for delicious chicken.
Chick-fil-A is proud of its Christian background. They have had some issues with LGBTQ+
community... (It’s okay to include controversial topics of your company.)
In module 5, we will be writing the Corporate Climate section as shown below. Do not copy this example for your paper.
