Going over the essentials to convoy operations will benefit the unit for pre-deployment training. Army Transportation Operation covers basic fundamentals that would benefit service members in the long run and possible extend their survivability in a combat zone. Introducing basic forms of driver training including preventative maintenance checks and services (PMCS) reduces the risk of vehicle wear and tear as well as unexpected break downs. Going over the proper step for mounted and dismounted procedures to reduce the risk and dangers of improvised explosives. Pre-deployment training will continue with knowledge base information of the integration of joint efforts with intra service operations. Medical evacuation training will be instructed, conducted and evaluated, as medical personnel, having the knowledge of transporting patients to the proper medical facilities is essential for the continuation of care. Knowing the difference between casualty transportation and medical evacuations can positively impact outcomes to the casualties or patients that need the services. Casualty evacuation is described as transportation of diseased personnel, medical evacuation is living patients who are dictated the next level of care through triage procedures. Understanding the responsibility of roles within the scope of practice and available resources will greatly benefit the mission as a whole. Having additional training on personnel hygiene and self evaluation can be an all encompassing form of medical treatment that would help sustain the fighting force and reduce the spread of disease.
