Increasing access to mental and healthcare, good nutrition, healthy living environment, etc

Collaborating on resources to meet our long term goals and address needs of the vulnerable in the community.

Needs assessment of the community as well as each partnership organization

Establishing a working coalition or partnership with public-private and academic entities

Development of interventions sourced by the partnership/coalition

Inputs:

Public/non-profit entities and government: Government grants, operational structure, research (CDC-EPA, state venture capitalists (Small business capital)

Private sectors: Innovation, funding, efficient supply chain and logistics, funding/cost sharing

Academia: Personnel via internships and student volunteers, applied research partnerships to inform intervention,

In terms of Academic activites: in addition to internships, some of the classroom activites i have seen and used are: Epi and statistics class service learning projects, Vulnerable populations in disasters service learning projects. One we are currently involved with is a risk communications projects with public health students
