This week we discuss logic errors, of which a type is the logical fallacy. Here's the definition:
A logical fallacy is any kind of error in reasoning that renders an argument invalid. They can involve distorting or manipulating facts, drawing false conclusions, or distracting you from the issue at hand. In theory, it seems like they'd be pretty easy to spot, but this isn't always the case.
Assignment:
This week we are going to focus on basic logic and how you can use logic outside of the classroom. Unfortunately, many of our daily interactions include logical errors.
· Consider a recent interaction you have had with a co-worker or item that you saw in the media that might have included logical errors.
· Share the example as well as the logical errors that are present in the example. Be sure to use terms and concepts from the content covered this week to support your discussion.
