The aspect of lobbying has come under great scrutiny from the general public due to peculiar behavior trumps administration has had over the short time of administration. The changes that took place are affecting how business in carried. The would be major lobbyists for specific concerns such as retirement policies, and taxation issues have been limited in their work as the administration has limited their powers and direct handling of the most relevant matters. This move has come about as the ethics policies adopted in the Obamas era have been dissolved by an order from the president (Lester, 2018). The lobbyists have then been incorporated into the workforce to mean that the government has fewer critics. In the government, the roles of the lobbyists have then been slashed, and they can no longer participate in policies that are relevant in their area of expertise (Horwitz, 2017). This means that corporations and other clients are on the losing end as the benefits of lobbyists are linked to specific corporations. This provides an avenue to act in a manner that does not directly benefit businesses.

Ethical conduct should have led to different courses in action as the lobbyist's area of expertise would have been resected to actions that benefit the people and business entities. Additionally, putting a limitation on the activities that can be carried out is a major imitation as corporations are left with no one to press their concerns to the government (Horwitz, 2017). In the first place, ethical hiring should focus on those individuals who are competent and align with the organizational values. In the trumps move this aspect is overruled as the employees are stripped of their power to participate in actions relevant to their expertise. Also, there lacks proper hiring and employee development program to the values of the workplace as the move is political to strip them of their powers and thus reduce government critics.

From this case, it is evident that power is playing a role in causing hegemony over job descriptions, what one can do and create an unfavorable environment for a couple of businesses.
