FOLLOW APA STYLE
A literature review is exactly that, a review of the sources you have researched. In this review, you must review 4 articles. The review of each article must be thoughtfully arranged, making connections between each article reviewed. Additionally, your literature review must attempt to maintain objectivity and balance by presenting various perspectives, avoiding personal bias, and maintaining a third person voice. DO NOT USE “I” WRITE IN THIRD PERSON.
Use a variety of articles that explore the depth of the research issue, such as articles that speak about scientific, historical, cultural, economic and ideological explanations of the problem as well as well as articles that speak of positive actions or attempted solutions to the issue you discuss.
Each paragraph review will
· introduce the author and title of article
· explain the authors discipline and methods
· provide a summary of the article’s main points
· include one or two quotes from the article (very short quotes)
· explain the relevance of the article to what you are trying explore, understand, and argue
· Transition by leading into and make connections to the next to be article reviewed
Once all four articles have been reviewed, the student must conclude in the following way:
· Synthesize all four articles by explaining what the overall findings suggests
· Explain what further research is needed to explore the issue in more depth
Make sure to include a Reference page in APA a style
. Write an APA Style Literature Review that reviews at least 4 scholarly articles (emphasis on ARTICLES) and not just fact sheets. You may use a fact sheet that gives you statistics and you should use them but these are supplemental to the articles.
