IS TOBACCO BEING THE MAIN REASON INFLUENCINGTHE MAIN INFLUENCING FACTOR OF PEOPLE’S HEALTH IN CHINA?
Smoking is highly dangerous and toxic for the health of peoplepeople’s health. It directly affects the health of individuals who are involved in it by attacking and seriously damaging their lungs and providing serious damage to it. Lung cancer is highly common around the whole world, and its main reasona major contributing factor is active as well asand passive smoking. It also develops addictive habits among individuals and several behavioral issues may arise because of it. The substances which are used to make cigarettes are highly toxic and can lead to death if they are used in excessive amounts. It is also very dangerous for youngstersyouth youth because when they become addicted to nicotine, they feel the need and desire to go for other substances similar stuff like such as drugs and alcohol; ultimately, many health-related issues may arise as a result. and other issues may arise because of them. Comment by Author: Give a citation that describes the worldwide prevalence of lung cancer. If lung cancer percentages for China exist, you can cite them too. If they don’t, don’t worry about it.
The United States of America (USA) is one of the countries where smoking is highly common among youngstersyouth. In the USA, about 43 million people are consistent smokers. Death rates in the country are also high because of the diseases which are brought by this habit. Smoking affects all the organs of the human body and premature deaths in Americahas been linked to premature deaths through are very common which happen due to heart attacks, lung cancers, or strokes. In the US, almost 90% of deaths which happen due to lung cancer share their reasons with the habit of smoking. Comment by Author: Cite this information.

This research used Michigan State University Library Database and also found all articles not only in English but also in Chinese. The timeline for this research is 2000 – 2018. Only peer-reviewed articles were included; dissertations, theses, book reviews, and newspapers were not considered for inclusion. The results yielded three articles for this topic, which will be discussed and critiqued below.
Since 2014, a little improvement has been brought on this issue as the government banned the public advertisement of tobacco in 2014 and it changed the conditioned. The demand got lessened and decreased and because of this, the production of tobacco in China decrease.
In China, the production of tobacco was always very high, so the government always benefited from it a lot but then after they saw that the unusually great usage of it was affecting people's health a lot and people were actually dying because of it, they controlled it by making few strategies and now its production, as well as consumption, is lesser than before.
Not only the USA, but all the counties of the world have also been witnessing problems arising because of smokingSmoking-related health problems are not limited to the USA; they affect individuals around the world. People die because of diseases which arise because of the harmful effects of smoking. According to a report, about 1 billion people in the world are smokers, and nearly 7 million of them die each year due to the harmful effects of smoking. In low and middle-income countries, the ratio of death because of smoking is higher than other counties because of less awareness and healthcare facilities. In the areas where people smoke, the air becomes polluted because of the smoke, and it affects children to a great extent. Comment by Author: Citation needed. In China, about 300 million people are active smokers where 52% of men smoke and 4% of women have this habit. Diseases like such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, and respiratory issues are highly common in many parts of China, and these diseases are brought by smoking. Recently, the government has taken some serious actions behind tobacco smoking because of the harm that it has been spreading throughout the country. All the advertisements related to tobacco smoking have been banned, and programs are launched which aim at making people aware of the harmful outcomes of smoking (China, 2014). It can be estimated from the given figure 1Figure 1 shows that with each passing year since 1950, tobacco production in China had been increasing with great speedhas increased substantially until 2013 when it was controlled, and then some steps might have been taken to decrease the production. However, we can still see that the tobacco has been produced in high quantity in China and it is one of the factors behind the economy of many areas. With such great production of tobacco, it would not be easy to control the rate of smoking since the production cannot be reduced. World’s The world’s biggest tobacco company, the China National Tobacco Corporation is in China which is beingis operated run by the state of China, and it is one of the major agents behind the economy of China.
This figure 2Figure 2 shares some information of the market production of tobacco in the US and we can witness that the country has been earning a great amount of money by it. Its production, as well as the earning, has been increasing at a great speed. China is the largest producer as well as the consumer of tobacco cigarettes in the world (Cheng, 2014). When production is going in the upward direction with eh passing year, then how can we expect people to control on smoking habits? It is in the market, and that's why people are accessible to use it in their daily lives. Many people do smoking just becausesmoke because cigarettes are available, it’s there and many of them are not aware of the harmful effects of it. Why is smoking a big problem in China?
Unlike the USA and other countries were smoking becomes legal after a certain age and before that, it's not permitted, in China, there is no age limit on the use of tobacco. That is why it is a big problem in China because teenagers do smoking out of curiosity and pleasure and they are not at all aware of the fact that it causes lethal diseases among human beings. China is the country of the world where millions of people are not aware of the harmful impacts of smoking on the lives of individuals (Schwartländer, 2015).
In China, teenagers’ smoking rate is very high and it seems to be very problematic. In China, almost everyone can be expected to be seen smoking everywhere people go. This is because of the fact that in this country, every second individual smokes on a daily basis (Cheng, 2014). Because of this, smoking it one of the most common causes of death in China. In China, the number of deaths attributed to smoking is the highest in the world. Moreover, it has been estimated that the number of deaths attributed to smoking will increase to 2 million by 2020. Comment by Author: What is the rate? What percentage of teens smoke in China? How does that compare to other countries?
Since China is the biggest producer of tobacco, the government can simply do nothing to reduce it since it takes advantage of the tax, which is 40% of the actual rate of each packet. It benefits the economy of the country. There is no specific law or restriction on the use of tobacco in China that is why the intake is increasing with the passage of time.
Another big issue related to smoking in China is the second-hand smoking and its harmful impacts of societies. Children and women are greatly influenced by active smokers in their surroundings, and many of them die after acquiring highly dangerous diseases and disorders. People are seen smoke at public places like restaurants, streets, parks, universities, and the air gets poisonous effects rapidly and affects everyone equally. Many people die in China out of cancer who never smoke; this is because of the effects of polluted air over them.

Conclusion
Smoking is one of the most crucial issues of China, and it has been affecting people's health more than any country in the world. People are dying because of diseases like cancer, respiratory disorders, stroke, heart failures, etc. and there is no law or legal rules about its usage. People in public places smoke a lot, and many passive individuals also get its effects. Moreover, in China law and order does not talk about the age limit when it comes to smoking, that is why youngstersyouth get the habit of smoking from their social surroundings and due to lack of awareness, they get harmful effects.
A lot of researches research in this area is needed in China to make people aware of the effects of smoking on their health and lives. Similarly, knowledge about active as well as passive smoking and the diseases which arise because of smoking should be made very common in the whole country so that people can stay careful and can try to keep them safe from polluted air.
