LIGHTING ASSIGNMENT

Instructions

You will select the following finishes from your research and present your findings to the class.

Floor Finish – Stone, Tile, Wood or Carpet

Wall Finish – Paint, Vinyl or Paper

Millwork (Cabinetry) – Plastic Laminate, Wood

Countertops – Plastic Laminate, Stone

You will:

· Choose a room (Kitchen, Living Room or Bedroom).

· Select a color palette and design style.

· Select light fixtures, make sure to address the (3) lighting layers.

· Create a presentation and make sure to answer the following :

What are the types of lighting required and why?

How will the lighting affect the tasks and the colors/finishes in the room?

· Present to the class.

Note: Use the lecture, your textbook and other design resources to help format and guide your presentation. This will be a power point presentation. The presentation is due at the beginning of the next class.
