This is a summary of the 5 pillars of Active Living/Lifestyles

Physical Activities  Is there a physical activity every day?

 Is there an acceptable amount of variety to the physical activities?

Spiritual  At least one Spiritual Wellness offering per week.

Some examples: Bible Study each week, 1 visiting pastor/group, yoga, meditation, music appreciation

 Religious services and transportation provided weekly (set a standard so there is not a full day of driving)

Social Activities  Bus trips (not including doctors, shopping, or banks)

 Trips out to lunch or dinner

 Options after 5:00 pm

Intellectual/Wellness Activities  Outside speaker or demonstration each month

 A computer activity each week

 Some examples: Memories/reminiscent activity, creative writing or poetry program, choir, pet program, volunteer programs, life’s work demonstrations/lectures, docent opportunities, mentoring programs, etc.

Outings  Bus trips (does not include grocery or banks, which should only be one

half day a week total)
