America’s Participation in the World War I.
The United States of America, had for a long time, taken a neutral position as far as the First World War was concerned. The country maintained a peaceful stand and generally, public opinion was in favor of neutrality during the war. World war I was the conflict between the Allies and the Central Powers from 1914 to 1918. The reasons for the United States in the involvement into World War I extended for many reasons, but the main factors were the sinking of the Lusitania, banking interests with the allies, German authoritarianism, Wilsonian idealism, and the Zimmerman Telegram. With all of these events linked to each other they gradually pushed the United States into the war even though the United States tried to remain a neutral nation, they had no choice but to join the Allies and enter into the first world war. The contributions of all these dilemmas eventually lead to the United States entering the First World War on April 6, 1917.
