School to home connection

Dear Parents,

I am reaching out to you both to share some different ideas to help Tommy when it comes to assigned reading homework. Tommy is such a bright boy, that is so eager to understand the homework I give him. He has seemed to get frustrated lately, when he is not understanding the work. Here are a few ideas that I wanted to share with you both. As with many children with learning disabilities, students with dyslexia need more time. By giving students time to think about their work they are better able to complete it well.
