Dear Ms. Kabir,

I am very interested in your available position of Business Analyst Intern, which I found as a posting

on linkedin.com. The ability to work at a company with such prestige that values people and bringing

them to their highest potential more than anything else, like Avenica, would be a huge honor and

privilege. I believe that I would be a huge asset to this company due to my educational background at

Purdue University as well as my previous job and internship experiences

I am about to go into my junior year at Purdue University pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in

economics with a concentration in data analytics and a minor in Spanish. Being in this area of study

has given me the knowledge and tools necessary to be successful as your Business Analyst intern

because of the many critical thinking courses I have taken in microeconomics and macroeconomics.

They have given the me the ability to understand incentives, unintended consequences, uncertainty

and opportunity cost, which will help me in connecting customers to their ideal job. My experience

in data analytic courses will give me the ability to complete the analytical projects given to me in a

timely and effective manner.

During my time at Purdue University, I have worked over the summer in two internship positions:

administrative assistant and catering manager. Both of these internships taught me crucial skills

necessary to be successful as your intern. As an administrative assistant I learned how to plan

effectively and stay highly organized, which is crucial in an independent internship such as this one.

This position also helped develop my interpersonal and communication skills because of the constant

phone calls I was making to around 100 prospective clients. As a catering manager, I became highly

skilled in leading and organizing groups of 4-8 people and completing projects without much

direction from a superior. It was a very independent job that taught me how to handle difficult,

unexpected scenarios on my own.

My resume is attached, and I would like to ask for an interview to further explain my qualifications.

The best way to reach me is at my email

[email protected]

or by phone at 000-000-0000. Thank

you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Jane Smith
