Music and Literacy Opportunity

*Language Development and Communication

Dramatic Play: Rainbow bird, Five Little Birds Finger play, Little Red Hen

Music and Movement: Children can hear before they are born, thus they are learning from the noises they hear even before they are born. Music has the potential to boost a child's growth while still in the womb, and its value continues throughout a child's early years. Its use allows us to assist youngsters in imitating the sounds they hear and may also be utilized to improve their listening abilities.

Manipulative and Puzzles: In other areas of reading and writing, establishing a sense of rhythm can help students become more aware of rhyming patterns and alliteration. Memory abilities may be strengthened, and auditory discrimination can be improved, thanks to music.

Music and Movement: Children have long used music to recall tales and learn about the world around them. Music may affect one's emotions and make knowledge easier to retain when used as a stimulus. Music also helps to establish a favorable learning atmosphere. It can help to relieve tension, pique curiosity, and prepare the mind for listening and learning. There are several parallels between literacy and musical development. As a result, combining music and language arts training may be quite beneficial.

Dramatic play: Children shall be engaged in acting the moves which rhyme with a specific song. This shall help them to undergo mental development and physical fitness

Fine Motor Opportunity

*Approaches to Play and Learning

*Emotional and Social Development

*Cognitive Development

Playing:

Children can make objects with their hands at the age of two to three years. They can construct towers out of blocks, draw with a pencil or pen, and mold clay into crude designs. Children this age can also place things in the correct areas, such as round pegs in round holes. Children as young as two or three years old typically begin to favor one hand over the other, signaling the start of being left or right-handed.

Cognitive Development: If a toddler was playing with a cat and it moved out of his field of view, the youngster would be unable to recall the kitten. The kitten (and so the kitten itself) would no longer exist in the toddler's mind. Young children with developed Symbolic Function can create a picture of or act as though they are playing with a missing cat. These enhanced cognitive talents are beneficial in everyday life for young children. Children can, for example, discuss individuals who are traveling or who reside somewhere else, such as Grandma in Florida. They can also describe or depict locations they've been, as well as imagine new settings and animals.

Emotional and social development:

Cognitive development: Animism is a way of thinking that youngsters in the Preoperational stage believe objects are alive or have human features because they develop or move. Children, for example, may refer to automobiles as if they were animals, as if they were growling or hungry. Similarly, young children may blame their falls or trips on chairs or toys.

Emotional and Social Development:

This stage of growth includes learning how to communicate with others as well as understanding and controlling your own emotions. From the moment they are born, babies begin to form relationships with those around them, but the process of learning to communicate, share, and interact with others takes many years. It takes a long time to develop the skill to manage your emotions and conduct. Children's social-emotional abilities continue to develop well into adolescence or into young adulthood.

Sensory Opportunity

*Approaches to Play and Learning

*Emotional and Social Development

*Cognitive Development

Cognitive development:

A youngster learns about the features of blocks by repeatedly investigating the wooden blocks. They discover that the large block is heavier than the little block, but that they all taste the same.

Emotional and Social Development:

I will assist the toddlers in identifying and understanding their own feelings, accurately reading, and comprehending emotional states in others, managing strong emotions and their expression in a constructive manner, regulating one's own behavior, developing empathy for others, and establishing and maintaining relationships during this session.

Cognitive Development:

The kid will: Recognize herself in the mirror or in photographs, and grin or make faces at herself between the ages of 1-2 years.

Begin to refuse pleas for bedtime and other things.

Imitate the acts and language of grownups (e.g., chores)

Understand and respond to speech and orders.

Hug and kiss your parents, friends, and pets.

Approaches to Play and Learning:

Have some fun with these! ... Children learn via play through developing curiosity about the world, initiative and problem solving, as well as focused attention and tenacity. By playing with children in the early years, I can help them acquire the skills they need to be better students.

Emotional and Social Development:

Infants and toddlers learn how to be in relationships, how to get their needs and wants satisfied, and how to identify and control emotions through early relationships and caring, responsive interactions.

Outdoor/Grass Motor Opportunity

*Health and Physical Development

The toddlers will spend time outside looking for birds.

Nature walks for the kids to collect feathers and present them to classroom

Touring bird sites.

Birding activity in a park

I will assist the kids to use crafty feathers and recycled material to make nests outside the classroom
