SECURITY SURVEYS AND AUDIT

LESSON 3

ISOL 634 PHYSICAL SECURITY

DR. IRVIN R. HEARD

Announcements

Its your responsibility to read the announcements, emails and grade comments.

A lot of students are not reading the emails or using the APA template, if you do not after I have repeatedly asked you to your grade will reflect. If you do not have an A at the end of the course its because you did not follow the instructions. Review the calendar to plan ahead. Some students are working ahead an I admire that.

Potential hazards from equipment to people

Police / Security officers for crime prevention

Physical recommendation: Doors, locks, windows, lighting and access points to include blind spots, hinges, fences and what would make the facility more secure

Access Mechanisms such lock types, bolted, screwed etc…

Alarms

Storage

Trespassing and restricted areas

Employee training – people can be manipulated
