SUGGESTED STRUCTURE FOR THE LEARNING JOURNAL
Overview: This introductory section should provide a short summary of what was learnt on the course and how well or otherwise the learning approach worked. This should include both the e-learning modules and tutorials.
Critique of the learning approach: This section should describe how the student felt the learning approach contributed to their achieving the learning outcomes. This should detail the positives as well as the negatives of the approach. You should also discuss what you have learnt about your own learning style and the approaches that work best for you.
Tutorials: This section should cover the contribution the tutorials made to your overall learning experience. You should describe how they were of benefit to your overall learning and how they could be improved or better incorporated into the course.
Course material: In this section you should discuss the material learnt on the MSc. program and how it will be of benefit to your career. You should also discuss how it has contributed to your overall knowledge of analytics and describe, based on your knowledge of SAP Hana, what would be the main challenges in using this system.
Case Study: In this section you are showcasing your learning from the MSc. program by presenting your own analysis of a real-world case study that has leveraged business analytics and where appropriate, link to the learning outcomes listed previously. Students are free to choose any company, from any industry for this part of the learning journal.
Reflections: In this section you are reflecting on the theoretical and practical implications of business analytics to a specific industry, such as the industry that you intend to pursue a professional career. Reflective questions can include, but not limited to:
(i) What value-add will business analytics bring to this industry?
(ii) How will you apply business analytics to your chosen work?
(iii) What challenges do you envisage?
(iv) How will you overcome these challenges?
Conclusion: This section is a summary of what you feel you learned from the MSc Business Analytics with sap program.
