Assume you are working with a class of 3- to 5-year-olds. Select a learning center (not an entire classroom) as the focus of this project, such as block center, art center, dramatic play center, etc. Propose a layout for this learning center. Begin by selecting furniture, equipment, and toys by consulting the Preschool Materials Guide website for suggested materials as well as recommendations on vendors' websites (see Appendix 1 for suppliers in your textbook) and other professional resources. Once you have selected the furniture, toys, and equipment, arrange that in the classroom and sketch your plan on graph paper (Search for "free graph paper" on the Internet.)
