Extra Credit Essay for Psychology

· It has to be typed in Times New Roman size 12 font, double spaced. Margins should be on the standard setting, so no 2 inch margins.

· Your name and any title information should be in a Header, not part of the type in the paper. Your paper should be type about the topic of the paper, not information about who is turning it in, the class name and number, who you are turning it in to, etc.

· This is for 5% points of extra credit… That is a lot. Therefore, 5 pages is the appropriate length. That is 5 full pages of typed out information or more. Less than 5 full pages of information does not get 5 points. 4¾ page does not get 5 points. 90% of a page is not a full page.

· APA format, with citations. No required amount of citations, but you will have to do some research (the book has lots of suggestions).

· Do Not Plagiarize .

Content of paper

· I want you to compare and contrast the behaviorist and cognitive schools of thought in Psychology. You can discuss how each school of thought has influenced the field of Psychology. You can discuss the major names of each school of thought and their contributions. How these two areas differ and their arguments for and/or against the opposition point of view.

· I do want you to give a final paragraph where you discuss your opinions about which school of thought you agree with more and why.
