It is my immense pleasure to provide a resounding endorsement for Mr. Amrish Solanki, who provided service as a Lead Data Engineer at Cerberus from 2019 to 2021 in staff augmentation model. Amrish was reporting to me during this project tenure. With over a decade of experience and deep expertise in advanced data technologies, Amrish demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities by effectively guiding the offshore engineering team. His impressive skills were demonstrated in various areas such as project planning, development, review, testing, and production rollout. Amrish's contributions to the success of multiple different end client projects were significant and invaluable, makes him unique leader across the industry. Here are the notable examples of his outstanding contributions.

An exceptional example of Amrish's leadership was demonstrated through his pivotal role in managing the development of a Data Quality framework at Cerberus. Leveraging his extensive expertise in multiple technologies, he skillfully directed the creation of a comprehensive design that thoroughly addressed key requirements, performance expectations, as well as technology and coding standards. Amrish also took charge of creating a detailed project plan with milestone releases and adeptly guided the engineering team, ensuring the successful and timely implementation of the Data Quality framework. This accomplishment enabled data profiling and business rules validation internally, without the need for external services. Undoubtedly, this achievement had made a significant impact and is now widely utilized across various projects at Cerberus. Amrish's exceptional planning and execution skills had not only made him a role model for new team members but also left a lasting impact on the company.

Another example, Amrish played a crucial role at Cerberus in the NexTier Oilfield project which was the key initiative for modernizing streaming data architecture and flow. He joined the project during a challenging phase marked by a lack of technical clarity and collaboration with external stakeholders resulting in delayed project milestones. Using his extensive hands-on experience, Amrish took charge and designed a robust streaming pipeline architecture within the Google Cloud Platform, resolving issues related to design and architecture. Additionally, he developed a systematic unified data model (UDM) to address data transformations and enrichment related issues. Moreover, Amrish efficiently overcame collaboration obstacles by establishing regular cadence, conducting working sessions, and implementing a robust project governance framework involving both external and internal stakeholders, highlighting his exceptional leadership skills. Under Amrish's guidance, the engineering team successfully delivered the streaming pipeline solution. This solution streamlined the processing and analytics of sensor data, enabling the provision of tailored and effective solutions to clients across North America.

Additionally, Amrish led a dedicated offshore team to develop a complex predictive maintenance model utilizing data analytics for oil fracking heavy equipments. This model aimed to predict equipment failures and detect unusual behavior, providing valuable insights for maintenance and operations. This model involved over 300 complex transformations. Without Amrish's technical expertise and direction, the delivery of a functional model would not have been possible. This model brought extensive benefits to the client, minimized equipment failures, enhanced operational efficiency, reduced costs, and improved reliability of the equipment.

Description as to Why the Position Should be Considered as a Critical Role

As an example, for NexTier Oilfield project, the streaming solutions needed to be highly scalable, and performance was one of the key aspects. During the execution phase, Amrish successfully addressed performance issues by fixing low-performing Python and backend database code, showcasing his extensive engineering skillset that sets him apart from other data professionals. Moreover, Amrish identified a significant data governance challenge stemming from uncertainties surrounding data ownership. Proactively, he introduced an innovative Unifi data catalog framework that incorporated modern collaboration features for enabling business users and data stewards to resolve data discrepancy issues through chat options. This framework gained extensive usage at the enterprise level.

Furthermore, Amrish made a valuable contribution to the development of a live dashboard for a production oil fracking site. His innovative approach involved transforming real-time sensor data and integrating that with asset information from the fracking site. He rightly introduced Google Data Studio for dashboard development. Success of this highly critical initiative was not feasible without Amrish’s in-depth knowledge of various Google cloud platform services. The implementation of the dashboard resulted in increased productivity, improved efficiency in fracking operations, and enhanced customer confidence.

Another instance, Amrish’s role at Cerberus in the Lennar Corporation project was crucial in addressing significant performance and reliability issues arising due to inefficient data pipeline design and architecture. Firstly, he implemented a surrogate key in the data model to optimize performance. Utilizing his immense knowledge in cutting-edge data technologies, Amrish crafted detailed data pipeline architecture and introduced a codeless data pipeline concept on Azure Data Factory as a proof-of-concept (POC). The client highly appreciated the POC and gave the green signal for its implementation at the enterprise level to resolve the existing issues. This itself made him a key person in this role.

Additionally, Amrish identified gaps in the development process, which caused significant challenges for the operation team during each deployment. With his hands-on experience in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), Amrish created a comprehensive solution for complete automation of the deployment process. This contribution solidified his pivotal role in ensuring a streamlined and automated approach for deployment, making him an invaluable asset to the project.

Due to Amrish’s outstanding contribution to Lennar, he was elected to lead the Business Intelligence reporting project, requiring him to manage both onsite and offshore teams and work closely with the client, customers, and the entire project team. These projects presented significant challenges, as our company needed someone who comprehensively understood the end-to-end flow of business and functional requirement, including all data points, KPI transformations, and visualization. Amrish proved to be well qualified to lead such broad initiatives, due to his extensive knowledge of advanced data technology and deep understanding of the domain. He developed innovative frameworks for reporting requirements that were widely used across multiple teams. Thanks to his expertise, the company successfully deployed the reports and achieved the desired outcomes.

It is worth mentioning that Amrish's exceptional work had earned him well-deserved recognition, including prestigious accolades like GSK Delivery Excellence Award for year 2019, GSK Best Employe of the Year Award for year 2020. Additionally, his outstanding contributions had been acknowledged through additional bonuses.

His innovative and skillful thought not only resolve the reliability and performance issues of the client’s data application but also won many client’s hearts.
