Current Role
Currently I am not working due to personal health issues that are preventing me from working but being a certified data analyst I am working on other ceritcations and taking professional classes to be better at what I do. However, I plan to get employment as a data analyst in healthcare because data analysts are the gate keepers to any data in any institution. It is from this data that decisions are made after they are analyzed. Therefore when it comes to managerial functions, my role as a data analyst is very central as it is from the data that an organization has that any decisions are made and this specifically means that if the data that the organization has is not well managed and protected, there is always a high possibility that any decisions that will be made will be misinformed (Olden, 2019). Currently not being able to work, this has given me much time to think about my career choices and decisions that are related with my career choices. Not only have I been a leader in my own life, but also to the people who are around me in my personal life, I have been a transformative leader to them, helping them develop in their specific areas in their respective personal lives.
Future Role
My desire role in the 3-5 years, is to be a data analyst in the healthcare sector and be able to manage and ensure that the data that a healthcare organization will have is not only secure but also resourceful and can be used for the purposes of making decisions for the better of the organization and the patients in the same as a whole (Cummings et al., 2019). Managing, controlling and securing data has always been my area of interest and specialty and therefore this will be my desired area of working and having this will help me be resourceful and provide my full services as a professional.
Future Healthcare Setting
My desired healthcare setting that I would like to work in in the next 3-5 years that would better suit my future role is in the acute care hospitals. In this healthcare setting my services on data analysis will be more needed than any other setting. Working in acute care hospitals means that there is the need to have a constant and secure flow of data for the decision that are to be made to be specific and very accurate. The need to therefore have a working and competent data analyst in this kind of setting is very central as this will specifically help in ensuring that not only are the decisions made are correct but also the data kept in such settings are secured and are constantly updated for the better of the decisions to be made.
