1.) Briefly describe your position as a registered nurse. Who are the leaders in your facility? Are your leaders effective? If not, why? If yes, what makes them a good leader? What style of leadership does your immediate supervisor practice? What is the most important quality in a leader? What have you learned from your managers (positive or negative)? Do you feel supported by leadership?

2.) Describe your leadership skills in three words only. 

3.) How do you personally feel about change? How do you react to change? How could you become a better change agent? Discuss some current healthcare changes that affect nursing and if there is anything you can do about it? Consider any current legislation that affects nursing in your state. Discuss some current healthcare issues and how they might affect nursing care and patient outcomes.

4.) Discuss the team approach in your current or past facility. In your experience, do you find that the team approach to nursing is effective? What are some of the positive aspects and barriers that you have encountered? Review current literature to identify any nursing studies on teams. Discuss the findings and if you agree or not.

5.) Examine the nurse practice act for state of California. Look at the guidelines for delegation and scope of nurse practice from your state Board of Nursing in California. Discuss an interesting fact about the delegation rules for your state.
