TEAM GLOBAL PROBLEM RESEARCH Your team has selected a global problem that will be the focus of your work for the rest of the course. As you are preparing to create a product (poster, web page, video etc.) that raises awareness of your global problem, your group is tasked to perform background research on this problem. The background research you perform has 2 main purposes:

1. Your group will thoroughly familiarize itself with the global problem you selected. 2. Your group will collect background information on the global problem that will be

relevant when designing your product (poster, web page, video etc). For the global problem you selected, perform research and prepare a write-up that thoroughly investigates at least the following areas:

1. What is the nature of the global problem? 2. Who is impacted by the problem? 3. How does your problem affect the world/society/environment? 4. What are the causes and the consequences of the problem? 5. What countries does your problem impact? 6. How severe is the problem? Is it getting better or worse? 7. Are there any solutions for this problem and how affective are they? 8. Does your problem impact any specific age range, gender or race? 9. Does the addition of new technologies affect your problem? If so, how come?

Important: When writing this submission keep in mind that it is intended to be the background research that you will use to create your product (poster, web page, vide). Also, try to support your write-up with evidence (properly referenced – just be consistent). Include charts, photos, and data as you feel appropriate to document the problem. Include as much evidence as possible to support your argument that the problem is a global problem. Notes Submit your homework electronically to Canvas before the class on this day. This homework is a group assignment.
