Final Assignment: Making an Informed Career Decision & Plan

Students will submit a completed Strategic Planning Grid and a written paper that responds to questions #3 - #5 located on the last page of the Planning Grid applying the learnings from this course in a way that is helpful in ongoing life design.

The paper will be no more than 2-3 pages in length, doubled spaced in 12 pt. font and must be in APA format with a title and reference page. The assignment MUST be submitted as one document with the completed Strategic Planning Grid as an Appendix.

Title page, appropriate headings, reference page. Organize the paper in a coherent way. Make sure to proofread your paper for spelling and grammar errors.

Consider what you would do to get an interview with a person currently employed in the occupation you have assessed. Describe how you would carry out a “Design Interview” to further understand the nature of this occupation and to penetrate the hidden job market (i.e. how you would go about contacting the person, location of interview, purpose of interview, 3 examples of questions you might ask, how would you penetrate the hidden job).
