Students should not lose sight of the fact that financial leadership concerns leadership. Thus, it is important to emphasize the role of the financial manager as a leader and stress the need for leadership skills and judgment. In the video,  Andy Campion, Nike CFO on the Leadership Skills You Must Learn (Links to an external site.), Andy Campion makes the point that “truly innovative ideas aren’t found on a spreadsheet. You must have intuition and see that in others.” This week’s assignment asks you to explore this idea.

In your paper,

· Analyze Andy Campion’s financial leadership approaches to current global trends.

· Defend the aspects of his innovative approach that you agree with.

· Critique any aspects of his approach that you do not agree with and explain why.

· Explain how you would successfully blend finance with people skills as a leader.

· Summarize a part of Andy’s story that resonates with you most and why.
