the Problem is too many people speeding through my neighborhood

Why this topic is important to me:

This problem is important to me because i have kids that live here and play in this neighborhood and dont want them to die by a car hitting them

Audience:

city council, neighborhood residents. Law enforcement officials

Audience description:

the city council is made up of lawmakers, community leaders and civil servants who care about the safety and security of the neighborhood and its inhabitants. They are the middle man between homeowners and the elected officials.

Why this topic is important to the audience:

A prolonged and continued negative experience of this type will lead to unnecessary hospitalizations, injuries or even death and will bring a negative light on this neighborhood leading to more people complaining, leaving the neighborhood, or flat out trying to solve the problem themselves.

Braithwaite is the recipient of a number of international awards and prizes for his work. The main idea is solving problems in our community and my paper is about solving a problem in my community The source was published on August 7, 1999 It appeared on the IIRP graduate school website The source was created as a guide to solve problem in local communities using what tools are at your disposal.

Analysis: I will use this information contained in this source to show how the use of polls can be beneficial to gain the publics opinion on a certain matter. Then I will show how to use the polling information to drive a solution towards elected officials. I determined this is a credible source by looking at who published the article and also who was cited in the article. I also looked at the statements made and researched them claims to see if they are based in scientific fact

Analysis: this will be my statistical data that i will use to back up my claim. It will also include studies to back up the claims made. I determined this is a credible source for two reasons one is it is in the Strayer Library which tells me that it is approved by strayer. Also it has credible information and scientific facts that can be proven.

Analysis: I am using this book for the purpose of conducting my research. this source shows the the way that w community who solves problems together will thrive together. The source is credible because it has been published and copywritten. The book has been around since 2008 and it has other sources quoted in the book.

Analysis: I will be using this source for its solution examples and its methods for problem solving. this will be what I use to come up with my solutions to the speeding problem in my neighborhood. Judy was professor at Portland State University and has studied the human condition. and graduated with a P.H.D in anatomy. she was also a member of a joint policy board of the NCAA.

Analysis: this source will be used for the research of how to solve community problems. Also how to engage with civic leaders to resolve issues. It will provide a roadmap to how to use community resources to my advantage when trying to achieve a goal. This is a trusted source because one of the authors is a P.H.D. from Bridgewater State University and serves at the Department of Communication Studies. He also has 13 other publications within the same field of study.

Ethical Approach to Gathering Sources

1) First, discuss the purpose of your sources—do they present information in a persuasive way or an informative way? Then describe the affiliations or positions your sources have and discuss how you identified those affiliations and positions.

The purpose of my sources are to complete the outline of my paper. one source is to discuss the issue at hand ( speeding in neighborhoods) another is to find applicable solutions to the problem i present. another is to find the scientific ways to present the solutions to the public and another is to fins practical ways to present it to civil leadership within the community.

2) Discuss the variety of perspectives or opinions that your sources express. Does at least one of your five sources present an argument that opposes or debates your potential solution to the problem you’re addressing? Briefly describe some of the different perspectives you found.

Many of my sources display a variety of points of views and differences of opinions. the perspectives from the authors display more than one way to see the community leaders that you intend to reach with the audience that you intend to reach. the views and opinions expressed in the articles are from the professional medical doctors and criminologist that are included in my list of sources.

3) Discuss how your sources present secondary information. Do they cite sources of their own? How can the claims made in your sources be corroborated for accuracy? Do any of them contain information that you could see being disputed?

The sources I provide to give more than just one point of view. they state their unbias opinions and provind facts unobjectively. Each and every one of the sources that i have provided also have more than one other source that they derived their information. I do see others who see their views as opposite from theirs will look at the information and will see flaws in their points of views
