The Reason Why Anthony’s Orchard Needs to Embrace Using Social Media
Social media provides an avenue for opening the mind of the public to several business ventures and ideas. Through social media, Anthony’s Orchard will be presented with a platform to create awareness for people that are unaware of them. This will allow these new markets to learn about Anthony’s Orchard business in depth. The business will not necessarily break away from the norm when they become more in tune with this avenue. This platform will help Anthony's Orchard see beyond their tradition and will allow them to create new traditions from the ideas that social media will provide.
The Benefits Anthony’s Orchard and the Director of Marketing Will Enjoy from Using Social Media
Social media will be advantageous to the Director of Marketing by accruing benefits associated with extending her thinking in a manner that will encourage her to develop new ideas thus making Anthony’s Orchard famous. Besides, social media will stimulate the mind of the Director of Marketing through the provision of feedback to analyze whether a particular marketing strategy of the company is a good or bad strategy. Thirdly, she will be able to learn from companies similar to Anthony’s Orchard and how they can use competition to achieve success for the company. Generally, social media will benefit both parties because it will help the Director of Marketing develop ideas that will help make Anthony’s Orchard successful.
The Issues that Can Arise if Anthony’s Orchard Creates a Social Media Page
The most profound issue with creating a social media page is negative feedback or unconstructive criticism. Typically, when an individual is new to social media, they are prone to unnecessary backlash. Therefore, this is a major issue that Anthony’s Orchard is likely to face. Being new to the platform might have detrimental effects arising from extremely critical and harsh feedback especially if a business does not understand the dynamics of social media. This will depend on how the company will embrace and accept the criticism.
This issue can be prevented by first learning how the platform works and using marketing strategies that will impress the public. However, the company should be aware that criticism will always be there therefore, it should strategize on how it will approach the negative feedback As Van & Caldeira (2006) presented, communication from all channels either downwards or upwards, is internal is external is crucial for the success of a business. Besides, when a company anticipates receiving positive feedback all the time, they will not be aware of what they need to correct to discover the company’s full potential. Another issue that could arise is their competitors might identify their business outline, thus making their tradition susceptible to tarnish. The company can address this problem by keeping its tradition completely exclusive.
How My Colleagues and I Will Communicate the Essence of Social Media Through a Business Report and Strategies to Develop Trust with the Director of Marketing
My colleagues and I will communicate the essence of embracing the use of social media at Anthony’s Orchard in this business report by stipulating its advantages and disadvantages. The advantages exceed the disadvantages; therefore, I believe that this would help build trust with Anthony’s Orchard’s Director of Marketing. The second strategy is adopting a 30-day trial with the platform to examine the reactions it would yield. This will allow Anthony’s Orchard to test whether they can embrace the idea or not, but by only putting out a small part of the business. Thirdly, the executive of the company will be welcome to write a report concerning this proposal to ensure that everyone in the company has been involved in making the decision (Hahn, Lippert & Paynton, n.d). I am certain that these strategies will help my colleagues and I communicate the essence is strategy effectively as well as make the Director of Marketing trust us.
