It is NOT acceptable for you and your fellow lab students to have the same lab report. Copied work is a form of plagiarism and will not be accepted. Since labs have been moved online, you and your friends in the lab may NOT have the same lab report or work together (total opposite of social distancing, of course!).

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, instead of performing the Acid-Fast lab yourselves, study the PowerPoint presentation, watch the video performed by your Micro Lab GATs, read the PDF file, and watch the helpful video links. Imagine that you performed the lab with the instructions provided to you, then do your own research online about what the ideal results for Acid Fast staining. Find photos online for the lab results of the acid fast bacteria, Mycobacteria smegmatis, or use the photos provided to you by your GATs, and include them in your lab report. It should be noted in your lab report, that while you did not perform the lab yourself physically, the “following hypothetical results could and should have been observed…”, ect, ect.

Bear in mind, that EACH and EVERY photo you pull from the internet MUST be properly referenced within your lab report and on your REFERENCE PAGE! Please utilize Purdue Writing Lab – APA formatting if you have further questions in regards to proper APA scientific writing, in-text citations, ect. The link is provided below,
