Unknown ID Lab Report

The patient assigned to my group suffered from migraines, slight sensitivity, torticollis- which contractions of the neck muscle, and a high temperature of 102, and was therefore performed a spinal tap. A spinal tap involves a needle being inserted between two lumbar vertebrae bones to collect cerebrospinal fluid. The results of the test indicated that our patients suffered from meningitis which is caused by a microbe known as Neisseria meningitidis. The full taxonomic name for this microbe is Bacteria Bacteria Proteobacteria Betaproteobacteria Neisseriales Neisseriaceae Neisseria meningitidis.
