You should elect for your analysis one of these cases in Chapters 1 or 2:

(1) Case 1-1 on page 37

For the case you select, be sure to do the following:

1. State the questions that are presented at the end of the case.

2. After each question, fully answer the question, and reference the relevant text that supports your analysis including the page number.

3. Remember that your personal opinion is not of much value unless it is supported by either text or other documentation that reinforces what you are advocating in your answer to each question.

HERE IS THE GRADING RUBRIC I WILL USE WHEN ASSESSING YOUR ANALYSIS -

CASE ANALYSIS RUBRIC FOR MODULES 1, 4, 5 AND 6 (50 POINTS POSSIBLE)

1. State the questions that are presented at the end of the case. (10 points)

States each questions from the text?

Follows instructions precisely?

Separates the questions, and the answers. No long blocks of letters.

2. Fully answered each question, and referenced the relevant text that supports the analysis including the page number. (10 points)

The response to each question was fully developed?

The response references the relevant text that supports your analysis, including the text page number so that students can locate the topic in the textbook?

3. Limited – or no – use of personal (subjective) opinion unless it is supported by either text or other documentation that reinforces what you are advocating. (10 points)

Is personal opinion absent or appropriately limited?

If used, is it directly supported by documentation?

4. Writing is precise, concise, simple and clear, with correct grammar, spelling, and other writing mechanics. (10 points)

Writing is clear and easily understandable?

Mechanics are correct – grammar, spelling, word use?

5. Provided value-added comments on the work of other students. (10 points)

Provide value-added comments on the work of at least two other students?

More specific information about each assignment may be provided in the assignment itself in Modules 1, 4, 5 and 6. Be sure to read the assignment carefully and meet the requirements fully and precisely.

You are expected to post your case analysis in correct sentence and paragraph format. Remember to check for correct spelling and grammar. More than a couple of minor writing or grammar errors will cause point deductions to begin.
