abstract and introduction
Method & materials
The following materials were used in of the construction of this experiment: green laser, lens with focal
length f=125, Translation Stage, PM121D - Digital Power & Energy Console, Si Sensor, 400 nm -1100
nm, 500 nW - 500 mW , and razor blade
At first we measured the beam waist of the green laser, The laser was directed to the direction of the beam
detector, and we installed the razor blade in the x-axis between the laser and the detector at the translation
stage, and then the razor blade was moved in the x-axis in small increments to prevent the laser light until
the whole light was blocked. Setup can be seen in figure1.
fig1, Experimental setup
Next, the green laser beam waist was measured at the focal point. We fixed the lens with a focal length of
125 mm between the laser and the translation stage. The razor blade is placed on the translation stage at
the focal length of this lens. Then we used the same approach in the first part. See figuer1.
Data was recorded in Originpro 9.1.
