2) After the patient received the remifentanil pump, her respiratory status etc. declined. When asked what your top nursing interventions would be you responded: monitor patient, gather delivery equipment, and rescue interventions. Monitor patient is an assessment. I want to know SPECIFICALLY what steps you are going to take as the nurse to improve the patient's condition. Rescue interventions is too broad - what are your rescue interventions? Finally, there isn't an indication that the patient is ready to deliver. She is currently at 5cm meaning it could be awhile until delivery. Therefore, this is not a priority at this time.
