EXPERIMENT 1: MICROSCOPIC EXAMINATION OF BLOOD VESSELS

Over the course of a lifetime, the heart beats more than three billion times, circulating 5 liters of blood every minute. Understanding the microscopic anatomy of the circulatory system is key to realizing the importance of cardiovascular health. This system is re sponsible for delivering oxygen and nutrient-rich blood to the 30 trillion cells in the human body. In this experiment, you will explore the structure of the blood vessels.
