What was the focus of the course work this week?

The primary focus of this week is about the conflict management deference’s across cultures and how that conflict deference does will occur based on the situation. Basically the conflict will occur in different ways between employees and the boss. During this week I have learned about the conflict process. The conflict management strategies will depend on the emotions, disagreements and escalations. In the mentioned chapters I have learned about the conflict management skills which include the good listening skills and questioning, communicating nonverbally and mediating. If people will follow these carefully to avoid conflict discussions. By using these approaches we can turn the conflict constructive into a positive way.

What were the topics?

This week mainly focused on the Conflict management skills that includes the good listening skills which includes maintaining eye contact and having good questioning skills and the questions should communicating nonverbally and finally mediating. I have learned about the negotiation process in chapter 10. The negotiation process will have a different negotiating skill that includes two or more parties make offers and counter offers in order to reach the agreement. After reviewing the mentioned chapters 10 and 14, I have learned about the multinational organizational strategies and conflict strategies. These chapters define the various levels of strategies that includes business strategy, external strategy environment.

How does it relate to your work?

By reading the mentioned chapters, the knowledge I gained so far would definitely benefit me motivated continuously. In the mentioned chapters 10 and 14, the concept “Improve your skills” has provided me some learning things that actually had in every organization. The concept of conflict management and multinational organizational structure are very important aspects in terms of business. the Conflict management skills has given me some idea of how to tackle with conflict issues with my boss. I have also learned about the good negation skills in terms of convincing the other person in order to reach the agreement. I would strongly say that I’m not in under the conflicting behavior boss.
