Application Assignment: Fitness Project
Choose ONE component of physical fitness(cardiorespiratory, muscular fitness, or flexibility) and create an 8-week-exercise program that would work for you. Follow the guidelines presented in the corresponding chapter: Chapters 3 (Cardiorespiratory Fitness), Chapter 4 (Muscular Fitness) OR Chapter 5 (Flexibility). Use the FITT Principle to address frequency, intensity, time, type of exercise and progression as it applies to the principle you chose. Provide an assessment result from the corresponding Lab you completed (i.e. 1.0 mile walk result if you choose cardiorespiratory fitness) also include a SMART Goal (see Chapter 1) for the program. Utilize a Blackboard compatible document to create your program (i.e. MS Word, PDF, etc) and upload the document as an Assignment in Blackboard.
There is a rubric available with this assignment that will give you important information about how this will be graded. Please read it carefully before submitting your assignment.
